collegiate women's lacrosse action at Geasey Field Friday
afternoon.
The Aggies win their fourth straight contest, improving to 4-1 for
the year. The Owls slip to 1-2 overall.
Corsa scored four of her goals in the second half, helping UC Davis

Although Jordan opened with an Elizabeth Datino-assisted goal in
the fourth minute, Temple jumped to a 3-1 lead through the first 12
minutes of play. Senior co-captain Rachael Martinez won the next
draw for UC Davis, setting up a Jordan-to-Mirza goal with 17:42 to
go and igniting a run of four unanswered Aggie goals. But the Owls
hit two goals in the final five minutes before halftime to knot the
score at 5-5.
UC Davis shot 10-for-13 after the intermission to take down the
contest. Corsa hit her second goal in the 39th minute to extend the
Aggie lead to 7-5, then Mirza posted a goal and assist in a 4-0 run
to put UC Davis up by 11-6 with 14 minutes remaining. Majka stopped
three shots down the final stretch, only allowing an eight-meter
shot by Owl freshman Kelly Syphard at the 12:14 mark.
