No. 19 William & Mary Hosts Boston University

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The No. 19 William and Mary lacrosse team will return to action when it hosts Boston University on Albert-Daly Field at Martin Family Stadium this Saturday at 1 p.m.
The Tribe is coming off an 18-13 victory against Richmond last Sunday, as the squad evened its record at 1-1 and earned a spot this week's national rankings. Senior midfielder Grace Golden posted an outstanding effort versus the Spiders, as she equaled a single-game school record with eight goals on just nine shots en route to being honored as the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.
Through the opening two games, Golden leads W&M with 11 goals and is tied for the team lead in points (12) with senior attacker Ashley Holofcener (5g, 7a). Golden also leads the teamwith five caused turnovers, while she ranks second in draw controls (six) and third in ground balls (five). Junior Jenny Michael and senior Sarah Jonson have been key on draws, winning seven and six, respectively.
Ranked 18th nationally in theIntercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaching Association (IWLCA) preseason poll, the Terriers own a 1-1 mark and fell out of the national rankings this week. BU lost to Massachusetts, 13-12, in its season opener before bouncing back with a 15-8 victory against Brown earlier this week.
Sophomore Danielle Etrasco leads Boston with 10 points on eight goals and two assists, while seven other Terriers have scored at least two goals.
W&M and BU have played just three times before, as the Terriers hold a 2-1 edge in the series.
