from press release
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The Saint Joseph's
women's lacrosse team took an early, 7-0, lead and held on for its
first win of the season in a 12-5 victory over Wagner on Saturday.

goals apiece.
Hawks' Meghan McDevitt sparked the 7-0 SJU run, getting the Hawks
on the board 2:13 into the game with a pass from junior Grace Dinn.

minute later and scored again at the 23:32 mark off a pass from
Mineweaser. Peters notched her first goal, Mineweaser added two,
and Dinn netted a free-position shot in the next six minutes.
Wagner retaliated 25 seconds later with a run of their own, 4-0 to

come as Saint Joseph's Elizabeth Fox and Francesca Volpe each
scored for a 9-4 Hawk advantage at the break.
In the second half, Dinn added her second goal and while Peters
scored two more to make it 12-5 with 11:19 on the clock. The Hawks
