C.W. Post Women Announce 2010 Schedule

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – C.W. Post head women's lacrosse coach Meghan McNamara released the schedule for the upcoming 2010 season. C.W. Post, fresh off a 16-3 season and their fourth consecutive Division II National Championship Final Four appearance, will start off the season with a Long Island exhibition game against Division I Stony Brook University.

The Pioneers will play their home opener against Southern New Hampshire on March 13 as part of a men's and women's lacrosse doubleheader, starting at 11:30 a.m, with men's lacrosse taking on Bentley at 2:30 p.m..

After hosting Southern Connecticut on March 16 at 4:00 p.m., C.W. Post will take to the road for five consecutive away games, including two games in Severna Park, Md., against southern opponents Pfeiffer and Belmont Abbey. The Pioneers also travel to New Haven, a participant in last year's NCAA Regional, on March 21 at 3:30 p.m.

C.W. Post will open conference play against Molloy at home on April 7 at 4:00 p.m. The Pioneers take on Division II semifinalist Lock Haven on the road on April 17, at 1:00 p.m.

Rounding out the slate for the Pioneers is 2009 National Champion Adelphi on May 1, followed by conference and Long Island rival Dowling on May 5, with both games on the road.
