Shannon Burke Named Assistant at W&M

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.—William and Mary
lacrosse head coach Christine Halfpenny has announced the hiring of
Shannon Burke as an assistant coach.
While Burke will be instrumental in all aspects of the Tribe
program, her primary responsibilities will include working with the
defense.
"I am extremely excited about the addition of Shannon Burke to our
staff,” Halfpenny said. “She has an outstanding
lacrosse background and immediately impressed me with her passion
and intensity for the sport of lacrosse. She is a natural leader
and will make an impact coaching as a defense specialist – an
area where she excelled in college at Notre Dame.”
