William & Mary Announces Recruiting Class

WILLIAMSBURG, Va.
— William and Mary lacrosse head coach Christine Halfpenny has announced that eight student-athletes will join the program for the 2010-11 academic year.

"I am pleased to announce the Tribe Lacrosse Class of 2014," Halfpenny said. "This group brings a great amount of competition to each position on the field. They are accomplished players with great attitudes, strong character and lots of pride. We are certain they will add depth and a new dynamic to our team immediately."

Having claimed regular-season conference titles in two of the last three years, the Tribe will enter the 2011 campaign next spring looking for its fourth consecutive double-digit win season.

Recorded 28 goals, 57 ground balls and 56 caused turnovers as a senior ... Captained the field hockey team two years ... Two-time honorable mention All-Patriot District honoree ...
