Princeton Women Announce Class of 2014

PRINCETON, N.J. - Princeton head women's lacrosse coach
Chris Sailer has announced the recruiting class of eight
student-athletes to join the team as the Class of 2014.
"We are so excited for the Class of 2014 to join our team next
season," Sailer said. "This class is one of the most diverse in
Princeton lacrosse history, and includes our first ever players
from the Chicago area. These eight student-athletes will bring a
lot of personality, talent and competitiveness to our program. As a
group they are eager to learn and fun to coach, and we're looking
forward to seeing just how much they add to our program over their
careers."
Sailer and her assistant coaches Michelle DeJuliis, Amy Altig and
Patty Kennedy bring in two attackers, two midfielders, three
defenders and one goalie. They include:

Grace Bowen
Bowen was featured in Lacrosse Magazine as one of the
Midwest's best-kept secrets as one of the top five from the
"notbeds." A three-year letterwinner at Loyola Academy, Bowen won
two state championships with the Ramblers. In this year's
championship game she scored three goals as the team captain and
helped the team finish 24-1 overall. During the year, Bowen scored
41 goals and 20 assists, while picking up 34 ground balls, 28 draw
controls and 24 caused turnovers. She finished her career with 102
goals and 48 assists for 150 points as a first-team all-state
honoree. Bowen was a US Lacrosse All-America in 2009 and 2010 and
earned US Lacrosse All-Academic honors both years as well. In
addition to two state championships, the Ramblers were the state
runners-up in 2008. Bowen played club for Wildcat Elite Club from
2007-10, the Great Lakes National Team in 2009 and the Under Armor
Midwest Team in 2009. A letterwinner on the field hockey team,
Bowen garnered all-state honors in the sport in 2008 and 2009. She
also considered Northwestern, Stanford, Navy and Dartmouth.
Liz Cutting
A three-year varsity letterwinner at Towson High School,
Cutting helped her team to a 37-4 record during her tenure. Cutting
was captain her season year when the team went 12-2. She was a
member of the 2008, 2009 and 2010 all-star teams and was named the
MVP of the all-star team in 2010. Cutting received first-team
all-county and all-division honors as a junior and a senior. Her
team honored her with MVP and Unsung Hero team awards. The Generals
were regional champions and state finalists in 2008 and county
champions in 2009. Cutting played club lacrosse for the Skywalkers
2010 Blue Team and also lettered in soccer and indoor track. She
also considered Vanderbilt and Johns Hopkins.
Caroline Franke
A four-year letterwinner at Severn School, Franke guided
the Admirals to a 43-33 record as the team's goalie. She finished
her senior year with a 6.20 goals against average and a .540 save
percentage. During her career she amassed a 5.01 GAA and a .555
save percentage. Severn was the conference runner-up her freshman
season when the team went 12-7. A US Lacrosse All-Academic honoree,
the organization named her to the DC Metro Team 2 for the 2009 US
Lacrosse National Tournament a year after being named to the
All-Galaxy team. Franke played club lacrosse for the Maryland
United Lacrosse Club that placed second in the 2009 National
Lacrosse Club Championship with a record of 33-5. She also lettered
in basketball and was considering Penn, Stanford, Brown and Boston
University.
Sarah Lloyd
A member of the 2010 Tewaaraton Watch List, Lloyd lettered
three seasons at Severna Park while playing primarily midfield with
stints at both defense and goal. Lloyd was named an All-America by
both US Lacrosse and Under Armour, and was a US Lacrosse
All-Academic honoree. During her tenure, the Falcons recorded a
54-4 overall record including a 20-0 mark her sophomore season.
Lloyd was captain her senior year, earning Washington Post
All-Metro and first-team all-county honors. Suffering an injury in
2009 that limited her mobility, Lloyd took over as the team's
goalie and helped the Falcons to the state and district titles at
that position. The Falcons were also region and state champions in
2008. Severna Park finished the 2010 season ranked No. 7 in the
nation. Lloyd also lettered in swimming and played club lacrosse
for SP Lax Club, Inc. She also considered Virginia where twin
sister Emily will join the swim team, and Duke.
Kellie Ragg
A three-sport athlete at William Penn Charter, Ragg earned
four varsity letters in lacrosse and was captain her senior season
and MVP her junior year. In 2009, she was named All-Inter-Academic
League and was a US Lacrosse All-Academic. Ragg played club
lacrosse for the Ultimate Goal Lacrosse travel team for three years
and played for the regional Philadelphia team in the US Lacrosse
National Tournament. In addition to lacrosse, Ragg was a four-year
letterwinner in field hockey and swimming where she earned
all-league honors twice in both sports and was captain of both
teams her senior year. Ragg considered North Carolina, Penn,
Vanderbilt and Yale.
Mary-Kate Sivilli
A three-year captain and four-year letterwinner at John
Glenn in Huntington, N.Y., Sivilli was named the team MVP all four
years. Her senior year she scored 70 goals and 53 assists, while
winning 69 draws, 52 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. She
amassed 117 points as a junior and 113 as a sophomore. Sivilli owns
the New York State record for assists in a game with 12 in 2008 and
was ranked in the top five on Long Island in points all four years.
She earned all-county honors in 2008, 2009 and 2010, was a two-time
US Lacrosse All-Academic honoree and captured Newsday Athlete of
the Week honors in 2010. In June she was named a US Lacrosse
All-America honoree. Sivilli played club lacrosse for the Yellow
Jackets 2010 Blue Team and was a member of the New York 4 Team in
2008 and the Long Island 2 Team in 2009 at the US Lacrosse National
Tournament. Also lettering in cross country and indoor track,
Sivilli considered Northwestern and Penn.
Colleen Smith
A three-year varsity letterwinner at Loyola Academy with
Bowen, Smith is one of the more decorated members of the incoming
class. She is a two-time US Lacrosse All-America honoree, a US
Lacrosse All-Academic and a 2010 Under Armour All-America. During
her three years she helped the Ramblers to a 66-12 record while
collecting 77 career points, 159 ground balls, 134 caused turnovers
and 130 draw controls. Smith was captain her junior and senior
years, guiding Loyola to back-to-back state championships. In her
senior year, Smith scored 40 goals, 13 assists, 68 draw controls,
55 ground balls and 41 caused turnovers as the team posted a 24-1
record. The Ramblers were state runners-up in 2007 and 2008. This
past spring Loyola was ranked first in the Midwest region by
Laxpower, ranked seventh in the nation by MaxPreps and 20th in the
nation by ESPN Rise. Smith is a two-time first-team all-state
selection, and has earned academic all-state honors, in addition to
being named first-team all-conference and first-team all-tournament
in the Illinois State Tournament as a freshman. Smith played club
for Wildcat Elite from 2006-09. She was a member of the Great Lakes
National Team in 2008, the Illinois National team in 2009, Under
Armour Midwest Team in 2009, ESPN Rise All-America team in 2010 and
Under Armour All-America team in 2010. She also played varsity
tennis where she was team captain her senior year receiving two
team awards. Smith also considered Dartmouth, Stanford and Notre
Dame where her twin brother Patrick will join the cross country and
track teams, joining older sister Katie and father John as Fighting
Irish alums.
Erin Williams
A four-year letterwinner at Upper Arlington in Columbus,
Ohio, Williams was captain of the Golden Bears her senior year. The
team was the 2008 state champion and runner-up in 2007 and 2009.
Williams was named the 2007 Rookie of the Year and the 2009
Midfielder MVP by her team. She garnered 2009 first-team
all-district and 2008 second-team All-Ohio Capital Conference
honors. Takkle.com listed Williams as one of the Top 100
Underclassmen "Sleepers". Williams was named a US Lacrosse
All-America honoree in 2010 and was twice on the US Lacrosse
All-Academic list. She played club lacrosse for Midwestern Force
Lacrosse Club and was on the 2008 and 2009 Great Lakes Team 1 in
the US Lacrosse National Tournament. Williams also lettered in
field hockey.
