Penn Eases Past BU; Maryland Next

IMMACULATA, Pa. -- In the first round of the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship, Penn overcame Boston University 14-9 Saturday afternoon at Immaculata University's Draper Walsh Stadium. The Quakers advance to the quarterfinals where they will meet top-seeded Maryland next weekend.

Senior Ali Deluca led Penn's offensive charge, scoring five goals, while classmate Emma Spiro and junior Giulia Giordano each tallied three. Emily Szelest recorded a career-high 18 saves, holding the Terriers to just three goals in the first half.
