BC Breaks Off Another Win in Best Season

The Boston College lacrosse team topped Le Moyne 17-6 on the
Eagles senior day on Saturday afternoon in Newton, Mass.
The Eagles improved to 12-5 on the season while Le Moyne fell to
9-6.
Boston College took a moment to honor the teams five seniors prior
to the start of the contest. Suzanne Cannon, Blair Clancy, Lauren
Costello, Peyton Killeen and Mary Stinson were recognized for their
dedication and success during their time with the Eagles.
BC started the game off on the right foot by grabbing the first
four scores of the match. Freshman Brooke Blue tallied two goals
with sophomore Brittany Wilton and Killeen grabbing one each. The
Dolphins responded with two tallies of their own before the Eagles
took a 7-2 lead thanks to sophomore Sam Taylor and two goals by
Costello. Le Moyne would notch two more before the end of the
period to set the score at 7-4 entering halftime.
The Eagles flew out of the break with new life and grabbed the
first seven goals of the second half to take a 14-4 lead. Costello
and Taylor notched two more each, with Blue and junior
Hannah Alley tallying a score as well. Freshman Kate Rooney also
got on the scoreboard by tallying her first collegiate goal at
15:51 of the half.
Le Moyne scored twice more on the day before Stinson and Cannon
would add their names to the box score as well, scoring in the
final 6:31. Overall, four of the teams five seniors would tally
goals on senior day, with Clancy coming inches from notching the
first goal of her career as well. The game would finish at
17-6.
Junior goalie Sheila Serafino made four saves on the day with
sophomore Catherine Conway earning a save as well in net. The
Eagles outshot Le Moyne, 31-13.
Boston College will travel to Harvard this Wednesday to meet the
Crimson at 7:00 p.m.
