a perfect 6-0 record in league play. The Stags have now won 18
consecutive MAAC regular season games, four shy of the league
record held by the Stags (2000-04).
The Stags will begin their defense of its 2009 MAAC Tournament
Title on Friday when they take on the number-four seed Siena. The
conference championship is being hosted by Marist, in Poughkeepsie,
N.Y. The third-seeded Red Foxes will take on the number-two seed
Canisius in the other semifinal, with the winners meeting on Sunday
at 1 p.m. The conference champion earns an automatic berth to the
NCAA Tournament, which begins on May 15.
