James Madison's Griffin Earns CAA Nod

from press release

HARRISONBURG, Va.
- James Madison redshirt senior Kim Griffin (Jarrettsville, Md./North Harford) has received national and conference honors for her play for the Dukes' lacrosse team last week.

Griffin was selected the Division I Player of the Week by the website womenslax.com and was named the Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Week.

The Dukes' midfielder won the CAA honor for the second time in the past three weeks.

Griffin was recognized after scoring a game-high four goals in the Dukes' March 24 10-9 win at fifth-ranked Virginia. She not only netted the game-winning score with 11 seconds left but also assisted the game-tying goal with 2:32 to play.

She scored twice and assisted two goals in JMU's 8-7 home loss to number two ranked Maryland on March 27.

The Dukes now have a 7-2 record and have moved into the number 11 spot on the Inside Lacrosse Top 20 poll.
