Flury Sets Mark in Denver Win

DENVER - University of Denver senior Ali Flury (Arnold, Md.) became Denver's all-time leading scorer as she recorded five goals in a 17-7 Pioneer victory over the UC Davis Aggies on Friday afternoon at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.

Denver (9-4, 3-0 MPSF) jumped to a 2-0 lead early after goals from Kaiti Delaney (Denver, Colo.) and Tulley Stapp (Denver, Colo.). The Aggies equalized after two quick scores, but the Pioneers rattled off five straight goals to take a 7-2 lead with 6:46 left in the first half, and carried an eventual 9-4 advantage into the break.

Denver never looked back in the second half, netting eight more goals to secure the victory and remain perfect in conference play.

Lexi Sanders (Greenwood Village, Colo.), who entered the game with the NCAA lead in assists, led the Pioneers with four assists and added a pair of goals. Stapp and Kara Secora (Denver, Colo.) added three goals apiece.

Denver outshot the Aggies 43-16, led 17-7 in ground balls and held a 17-9 advantage in draw controls.

Molly Peterson had four goals to lead the Aggies.
