the first half to take control of the game, as it recorded its
second consecutive victory.
“We were tested on the road by a ranked opponent and we
played well,” said Syracuse head coach Gary Gait. “We
finished the game strong.”
Senior Christina Dove# led the Orange with six goals and extended
her streak of consecutive games played with a goal to 48. It is the

to tie the game at 6-6, but the Orange answered with four
consecutive goals to end the half. Dove, Brown and Ladouceur all
found the back of the net during the run and senior Jackie
DePetris’ goal with 5:46 remaining gave Syracuse its largest
lead of the half, 10-6. The Terriers had a chance to cut into
Syracuse’s lead, but Orange goalkeeper Liz Hogan made a save
with one second on the clock to preserve SU’s four-goal
advantage.
The Terriers outscored the Orange, 4-2, in the first 10 minutes of
the second half to cut the lead to 12-10, but that was as close as
BU could get. Dove and Tumolo netted unassisted goals to increase
the lead to 14-10. Following Landy’s sixth goal of the game,
