Lehigh's DiNisco Patriot League Top Goalie

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Freshman ML DiNisco has been named
the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, it was announced on
Monday. DiNisco stopped 13 shots and led Lehigh to two wins last
week as the Mountain Hawks remained unbeaten for the season. Also
on Monday, junior Lauren Dykstra and freshman Meg Kelly received
Honorable Mention accolades from the league.
DiNisco posted a season best ten saves, including two in overtime,
in Lehigh's win over Fairfield on March 16 in Connecticut. She also
scooped up a season high four ground balls as the Mountain Hawks
earned a 14-13 victory in overtime. On Saturday, DiNisco sent back
three shots in 30 minutes of work in helping lead Lehigh to its
largest victory over archrival Lafayette in school history, with a
20-4 win.
For the season DiNisco is allowing only 5.52 goals per game with a
save percentage of 57%. She has also totaled 32 saves in 260
minutes of action.
Dykstra scored seven goals in Lehigh's two wins last week,
including a season-best six in the win over Lafayette. She also
registered four assists, nine ground balls, six draw controls and
one caused turnover. On the year Dykstra has found the back of the
net 23 times and added five assists. She has also won 12 draw
controls, totaled 19 ground balls and caused two turnovers.
Kelly scored two goals in each of the Mountain Hawks games a week
ago, raising her season total to ten. She netted the game-winner in
both contests and currently leads Lehigh with three game-winning
scores this season. In Lehigh's game against Lafayette, Kelly
scooped up a season best five ground balls and caused a season high
two turnovers.
Lehigh returns to action on Tuesday afternoon when the Mountain
Hawks play host to UC Davis at the Ulrich Sports Complex. The
opening draw control is set for 4:00 and all of the action will be
broadcast live on Lehighsports.com.
