BC Tunes Up for ACC Beating Bryant

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College
women's lacrosse team defeated Bryant University 15-2 of the season
for their ninth victory of the season.
The Eagles are now 9-7 on the season heading into the ACC Championships in Blacksburg, Virginia next weekend.
Junior Lauren Costello led the Eagles with five points and all three goalies saw time in net for BC.
The Eagles held the Bulldogs scoreless in the first period, while putting six tallies of their own on the scoreboard. Senior goalkeeper Katie Monaghan made five saves in the period and BC only allowed seven shots in the first half.
Junior Lauren Costello and freshman Brittany Wilton bookended the Eagles scoring run in the first. Costello opened the scoring for the Eagles at 24:01 in the opening frame and Wilton scored the sixth goal for BC at 2:18 in the first.
The Eagles collected four groundballs in the first period and caused three turnovers en route to a first half shutout.
In the second half, Kristin Igoe opened the scoring for the Eagles at 29:41 in the period. BC went on a seven goal streak in the second half before Bryant got on the board for the first time in the game at 8:28.
The Eagles added two more to give them a final score of 15-2.
