WASHINGTON, D.C.—The UMBC women’s
lacrosse team stormed out to a 10-5 lead and held on for a 11-10,
non-conference win at American on Wednesday afternoon. Freshman

With the win, the Retrievers improve to 7-7 on the season, while
the Eagles dropped to 2-11.
With the score tied at 4 late in the first half, UMBC pulled off three straight goals in final 5:54 with sophomore Ashley Stodter (Silver Spring, Md./Good Counsel), junior Amanda Gable (Mount Airy, Md./Glenelg) and Coady all finding the net.
