NJCAA Men Dish Out Postseason Awards

BRENTWOOD, N.Y.
- The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association is proud to announce that Robert Leary of SUNY Delhi has been its National Coach of the year. In addition to naming its coach of the year, the association has named attackman Randy Staats and goalie Gil Conners of Onondaga Community College as the offensive and defensive players of the year.

Below are some brief biographies on each award winner:

Coach of the Year

Robert Leary of SUNY Delhi, was named the Region 3 coach of the year after leading Delhi to an 11-5 record.

Offensive Player of the Year

Randy Staats of Onondaga Community College was the National Attackman of the year, Region 3 player of the year and Broke Onondaga CC all-time single season scoring record with 57 goals 82 assists.

Defensive Player of the Year

Gill Conners of Onondaga Community College was the National Goalie of the year, Region 3 defensive player of the year while only allowing 30 goals all season (2.6 per game). Conners will attend Quinnipiac University in the fall.
