from press release

HERKIMER, N.Y. -- Herkimer County Community College has announced the appointment of David Kramer, of Mohawk, N.Y., as interim men’s lacrosse coach for 2010-2011. Kramer previously served as an assistant lacrosse coach at Hamilton College. He was head coach at The Queen Anne School in upper Marlboro Maryland where he led the Lions to their first playoff victory in the school’s history. He also served as lead assistant coach at Anne Arundel Community College in Arnold, Maryland.

Kramer holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Massachusetts where he was a two-year starter and a four-year letter winner as a defensive midfield and a faceoff specialist. He was a member of the Sachem High School (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY) 1993 New York State championship team and 1995 New York State finalist team. In 1995 Kramer was elected to the All Division and All Suffolk County team as a midfielder and was selected to play in the exceptional senior game.

Athletic Director Donald Dutcher said, “David has a wealth of lacrosse experience, and I am confident he will provide excellent leadership for the program and our student-athletes.”

Kramer replaces Richard Dommer who resigned in July after four years as head coach for the Generals.
