Jan 26, 2010 Michigan Hosts Bellarmine in 'Jack' Event

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - The University of Michigan
Men's Lacrosse team will be hosting NCAA Division I opponent
Bellarmine for a pre-season scrimmage on Sunday, January 31, in Ann
Arbor, Mich. at Oosterbaan Fieldhouse. Scheduled for a 7:30pm
EST start, the contest between the Wolverines and the Knights will
be played as part of the "Everyone Works for Jack" series of
clinics and events that will benefit current Bellarmine Head Coach
Jack McGetrick and his battle with cancer.
The Intercollegiate Men's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) will
be using the "Everyone Works for Jack" events as an initial effort
to build a Coaches Emergency Fund for members of the collegiate
coaching community that are in financial need. College and
high school coaches around the country will participate by holding
clinics and games in effort to assist Coach McGetrick and help
establish the Coaches Emergency Fund. Proceeds from
Michigan's scrimmage against the Knights will go towards the
fund.
Bellarmine enters the contest coming off a 6-8 campaign in the East
Coast Athletic Conference last season. Coach McGetrick has
been with the squad since 2004, we he was brought in and charged
with building a Division I program at the Kentucky school.
The game will be the Wolverines' first of three pre-season
scrimmages as the squad prepares for their 2010 title defense.
