No. 9 Lynchburg Sneaks Past No. 17 Cabrini

RADNOR, Pa. – Using two late goals from senior Dylan Hoff and freshman Andrew Blundin, No.9 Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team edged out No.17 Cabrini College 8-7 on Saturday in non-conference action.
Hoff and Blundin each had two goals in the game while Hoff added an assist. Junior Pat Ohrem also had two goals while senior Franc Cook made nine saves.
Lynchburg took an initial 1-0 lead after a goal from Blundin with 3:21 left in the first quarter. In the second, Hoff made it 2-0 for LC at 14:19 before Cabrini scored the next three goals to lead 3-2 at halftime.
Senior Andrew Wilfong tied up the game at 12:27 of the third and was quickly answered back by another Cabrini goal, giving the Cavaliers a 4-3 advantage. Junior Max Voumard tied up the game at 9:10 and was followed by two straight goals from Ohrem, pushing LC to a 6-4 lead.
Cabrini tied up the game at six with two goals to start the fourth, but Hoff scored with 5:13 left and Blundin scored at 5:02, giving LC an 8-6 lead. Brian Hill of Cabrini scored with 26 seconds left, yet time expired with Lynchburg winning 8-7.
Senior Matt Jernack went 5-9 on face-offs while junior Joe Lisicky caused a team-high three turnovers and nine groundballs.
Hill and Bobby Thorp led Cabrini (1-2) with two goals each. Erick Zarzecki made 10 saves in the loss.
Lynchburg (3-1) hosts Marywood University on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. on Shellenberger Field.
