LaBella Named Assistant at Lebanon Valley
from press release
ANNVILLE, Pa. - Lebanon Valley College has named Joe LaBella assistant coach of men's lacrosse, head coach John Haus has announced.
LaBella, an all-American goalkeeper for Molloy College, comes to LVC after serving as both the junior varsity head coach as Massapequa High School on Long Island and as assistant coach of the South Shore Seals club program in Massapequa.
LaBella was a two-time All-American at Molloy College, where he was consistantly among the nation's best Division II keepers. An NCAA scholar-athlete, LaBella backstopped the Lions from 2004 to 2006, leading them to the 2005 ECAC championship, and he was named the school's Athlete of the Year as a senior. He graduated with a B.A. in criminal justice in December 2006.
In addition to coaching, LaBella has remained a one-on-one goalie trainer, working with players at all levels.
Lebanon Valley will enter its second season of varsity play under coach Haus in spring 2011, welcoming a 24-member freshman class to the program.
