from press release
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Mark Miller, a former all-conference goaltender at Division II power Adelphi College, has joined the Colorado College men's lacrosse program as a full-time assistant coach.
Miller will serve as the top assistant and will work primarily with the offensive personnel and goaltenders. He also will be in charge of travel and play an integral role in recruiting and alumni relations.
"I am very excited to join the staff and to coach at Colorado College, Miller said. "I want to thank Head Coach Sean Woods for giving me the opportunity and Athletics Director Ken Ralph for welcoming me to the Tiger athletic family.
"Working with a great program has always been a goal of mine. The opportunity at Colorado College is a perfect fit."
The native of Norwalk, Conn., comes to CC from Texas Christian University, where he served as head coach of the MCLA club team since 2007 and worked as an assistant equipment manager since 2005.
"I am thrilled with the hiring of Mark," head coach Sean Woods said. "During the process, it became evident that he was an advocate for positive leadership and character building. That, combined with his superior organizational skills and tireless work ethic, will make him a valuable addition to the CC lacrosse family."
Miller began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Adelphi, working with the defense and recruiting. He also has worked at some of the top summer camps in Connecticut, Maryland and Texas, and was co-director of the Maximum Lacrosse Camps for 10-17 year olds.
Miller earned a pair of letters at Ohio Wesleyan (2000 and '01) before transferring to Adelphi. He earned a bachelor's degree in media communications in 2003 and is currently working on his master's in advertising and public relations at TCU.
