Skidmore Clinches Liberty League Playoff Bid

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College men's
lacrosse team made quick work of Vassar College with a 20-10
victory, Saturday afternoon, earning a Liberty League playoff berth
in the process.
Skidmore (10-3, 4-1 Liberty) will host Clarkson on April 30 for the regular-season championship and top seed for the tournament that begins May 6. Skidmore, Clarkson, Union, and Rensselaer have all clinched tournament bids with match-ups depending on results for next weekend's league games.
Skidmore controlled the game from the start, outscoring the Brewers (5-7, 1-4) 10-2 in the first quarter and 16-4 in the first half. The Thoroughbreds out shot Vassar 56-24 overall, including 41-10 in the first half. Skidmore had stat contributions from 33 players.
Mike Holden led the Thoroughbreds with five goals (all in the first half). Ben Cornell had two goals, Matt Levesque had two goals and two assists, Mike Perlow and Jacques Ward had two goals each, and Bryan Connolly had a goal and five assists. Eleven different players scored goals for Skidmore.
Ryan Paradis continued his dominance at faceoffs, winning 12 of 15.
