Zulauf Named New Coach at Richard Stockton
from press release
Richard Stockton College has named Kevin Zulauf as its new head
lacrosse coach. Zulauf elevates to the top spot for the Stockton
program after two years as the assistant coach for the Ospreys. His
lacrosse background also includes stints as a player at Wagner
College and Stockton as well as previous coaching experience for
numerous camps and youth teams.
Under the tutelage of his predecessor Dick Rizk, Zulauf was
involved with all aspects of the Stockton lacrosse program over the
past two years including scouting, recruiting and coaching offense
and defense for the Ospreys. Zulauf also has coached Ath-Ed
Lacrosse and Jersey Thunder youth teams and served as a counselor
at camps for Army, Christian Brothers Academy and Holmdel High
School.
Zulauf played three seasons at Wagner College (2003-05) where he
earned MAAC Second Team honors in 2005 and became the Seahawks'
all-time leading goal scorer. He transferred to Stockton and
finished his career by leading the Ospreys in scoring with 70
points and collecting a Knickerbocker Conference Second Team nod in
2006. His 40 assists that season equaled the second-best total in
Stockton history while his 70 points rank fourth all-time.
Zulauf earned his bachelor's degree in psychology from Stockton in
2007 and joined the Osprey lacrosse coaching staff under Dick Rizk
shortly thereafter. Rizk, a member of the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall
of Fame, retired in the spring after 18 seasons at Stockton and
over 40 years of lacrosse coaching on the high school and college
levels.
