Marywood Men Release 2011 Schedule

SCRANTON, Pa. – Marywood University's men's lacrosse
team released their 2011 regular season schedule today. The Pacers
will play in 15 contests including six against Colonial States
Athletic Conference opponents and the toughest non-conference
schedule in the program's four-year history which includes three
nationally-ranked teams from last season.
Marywood opens their campaign on February 23rd when they host
Muhlenberg College before embarking on a spring break trip which
includes a stop at nationally-ranked Lynchburg College. The Pacers
will visit 2010 NCAA Tournament participant Montclair State
University on March 15th before hosting cross-town rival University
of Scranton four days later.
Conference play opens up on April 2nd against Immaculata
University, with six of the Pacers' final seven games against CSAC
opponents. Marywood visits ten-time defending conference champion
and perennial nationally-ranked Cabrini College on April 27th
before closing out the regular season on April 30th at Shenandoah
University.
Marywood's roster feature's 14 seniors who have been with Head
Coach Mic Grant's program since its varsity inception in 2007. The
Pacers have compiled a 30-17 overall record in their first three
years including a 15-5 mark in conference play, made three-straight
CSAC playoff appearances, and a runner-up finish in the 2009
season.
The Pacers finished the 2010 season with an 11-5 overall record and
the second seed in the CSAC playoffs with a 5-1 conference
record.
