USM's Mark White Named LEC Rookie the Week

GORHAM, Maine - Freshman midfielder Mark White (Oakville,
Ontario) of the University of Southern Maine men's lacrosse team
was recognized today as the Little East Conference announced that
White had been selected as the Rookie of the Week for the week of
March 15-21.
In the Huskies' only game last week, White tallied a season-high
five points on three goals, including the game-winning goal, and
two assists to help the Huskies post their first win of the season,
a 16-10 triumph over Maine Maritime Academy.
The Huskies third leading scorer after three games, White has four
goals and three assists for seven points. He also has been credited
with six ground balls.
Southern Maine, 1-2 overall, will play local rival St. Joseph's
College in a non-conference game on Wednesday (6:00 p.m.) at
Memorial Field in Portland.
