Twardowski Named E8 GOW

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Hartwick’s
Ryan Twardowski (Emmaus, PA/S. Lehigh) was named
Empire 8 Conference Goalie of the Week on Monday following the
Hawks’ 9-6 win over Scranton on Saturday.
Twardowski held the Royals scoreless for the first 27 minutes and
made 10 saves, including six in the third quarter. The high-scoring
Royals had racked up 27 goals in wins over E8 foes Ithaca and Utica
prior to Saturday’s game with the Hawks.
Through the first three games, Twardowski has a goals against
average of 7.57 and a save percentage of .569. He ranks third in
both categories among starting goalkeepers in the Empire 8.
Hartwick (2-1) is back in action today at Farmingdale. The Hawks
and Rams clash at 4 p.m. in Farmingdale, NY.
