SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The 10th-ranked Geneseo Blue Knights (3-0) scored 14 straight goals through the first, second, and third quarters and defeated the #21 Ithaca (0-3) men's lacrosse team 17-7 Friday afternoon in a neutral site game at Murphy Field on the campus of Onondaga Community College.

Ithaca took a 2-0 lead in the first quarter on goals by freshman midfielder Brendan Donelan (Brewster/Patterson), the first goal of his career, and junior midfielder Mike Silipo (Williston Northampton/Deerfield, Mass.). The Bombers were held off the scoreboard for the next 31 minutes until junior midfielder Ryan Lowe (Fairport/Fairport) answered for Ithaca late in the third quarter. It was Lowe's second goal of the season.

He leads Ithaca in scoring with four goals on the year. Junior middie Jay Lucas (Fox Lane/Bedford Hills) had a career-high three assists in the contest and tied a career high with three points. Ithaca's seven goals were the highest offensive total of the season, and the four fourth-quarter goals were a season-best over one quarter.

Ithaca won 14 faceoffs, as sophomore midfielder Brian DiBetta (John Jay/Katonah) was 8-for-13 at the X.
