Hearn Named Centennial Offensive POW

LANCASTER, Pa. - Senior Lexie Hearn
(Old Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich) kicked off the 2010 women's
lacrosse campaign as the first Centennial Conference Offensive
Player of the Week as selected by conference officials on Monday,
March 1.
Hearn landed her second career weekly accolade from the conference
after putting up a career-high tying four goals and an assist in a
19-9 season-opening victory over the University of Mary Washington
on Feb. 25.
She threw in the first score of 2010 and added three more before
the end of the first stanza, staking the host Bullets' to a 10-3
lead at the break. For the game, Hearn missed only once on five
shots and accumulated three ground balls, three draw controls, and
three caused turnovers.
Gettysburg (1-0, 0-0 CC), ranked second in the latest
Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Association national
poll, debuts in conference play this Friday, March 5, with a road
trip to Washington (Md.) College. Game time is 4 p.m.
