The CAC Announces Weekley Lacrosse Awards

YORK, Pa. - Salisbury sophomore attackman MATT
CANNONE (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport) and York freshman midfielder
KIMBERLY WAYSON (Harwood, Md./Southern) were selected as the CAC
Lacrosse Athletes of the Week for Feb. 23, 2010.
MEN'S LACROSSE
Salisbury sophomore attackman MATT CANNONE (Bayport,
N.Y./Bayport) was named the first CAC Men's Lacrosse Player of the
Week this season after scoring four goals and an assist in each of
the Sea Gulls' first two games of the season - wins at Greensboro
and at home against 18th-ranked Lynchburg. Cannone also had
six ground balls in the two games for the fourth-ranked Gulls.
WOMEN'S LACROSSE
York freshman midfielder KIMBERLY WAYSON (Harwood,
Md./Southern) was named the first CAC Women's Lacrosse Player of
the Week for the 2010 season after scoring three goals, including
the game-winning goal to break a 7-7 tie with 5:17 left in
regulation, and adding an assist as the Spartans opened the season
with an 8-7 win over Montclair State.
