Mar 12, 2010 Limestone Hosts Mars Hill in Key Game

GAFFNEY, S.C. — It's an early season, yet pivotal,
NCAA Division II South Region men's lacrosse showdown at the "The
Rock" on Saturday (3/13) as fifth-ranked Limestone hosts
seventh-ranked Mars Hill at 1:00 p.m. Both of these non-conference
rivals are undefeated within the region Limestone is 2-0 while Mars
Hill is 3-0 and overall both have only one loss that against
second-ranked Le Moyne and by three goals combined (Limestone 8-6
and MHC 7-6).
Overall this season Limestone (2-1) has won two of its first three
contests averaging 12.3 goals (37 scored) and yielding 5.0 (15
against) while Mars Hill, at 4-1, has averaged 13.0 goals (65
scored) while allowing its opponents an even average of 6.0 (30
against).
Saturday marks the ninth all-time meeting between the Saints and
Lions in a series that dates back to 2003 when both competed in the
Deep South Conference. Limestone has won the first eight encounters
including a 12-11 decision at Mars Hill last season and a 21-12
decision at "The Rock" in 2008.
Saturday's men's lacrosse showdown will be available via live
audio/video web-stream and live stats, links for both are available
at www.golimestonesaints.com. Limestone College Director of Digital
Media Fabian Fuentes will call the play-by-by while Director of
Network Services Dr. Scott Berry will handle the color commentary
responsibilities for the audio/video web-stream, which is scheduled
to begin at 12:50 p.m. with the "Countdown to Face-Off Show"
featuring an interview with Limestone head coach Mike Cerino.
