Wingate, N.C. - Saint Leo University won two of the three weekly Deep South Conference Awards in the second week of voting, league officials announced Monday. Catawba College took the other nod.

Saint Leo senior attack Joe Guerin (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) is this week's Offensive Player of the Week. Catawba sophomore goalkeeper Michael Pecchia (Coquitlam, B.C., Canada) is the Defensive Player of the Week, while SLU freshman midfielder Ty Trombley (Penn Yann, N.Y.) was selected Freshman of the Week.

Guerin racked up five goals and an assist for six points overall as the Lions defeated Rollins (Fla.) College 14-5 Saturday. Last year, Guerin had 27 goals and 15 assists for Saint Leo. He was named to the DSC All-Tournament team.

Pecchia had a huge game against number one C.W. Post, recording 18 saves and a .667 save percentage. Post edged Catawba 9-5. Pecchia had 11 saves and a .630 save percentage in a 16-8 regional victory over Pfeiffer University.

Trombley made good on 10-of-13 face-off attempts in the Rollins victory. He was playing in place of the Lions' standard face-off person. Trombley added three ground balls against the RC Tars.
