North Carolina's two-sport athlete - midfielder and wide receiver - is also a double major. He caught up with Lacrosse Magazine for our December 2013 issue. Need your copy? Become a member of US Lacrosse today!

Who is your favorite athlete?
Kobe Bryant. He is just so dominant and he has the mentality of an assassin on the court.

What's one thing that always puts you in a good mood?
Cheesecake. I have a sweet tooth and I love desert.

What's one thing lacrosse really needs?
I think lacrosse needs a shot clock. It would make the game that much more exciting. It will speed up play and cause more shots, which would be even more entertaining. I liked the shot clock after the stall warning this year. It would be nice if there was a 60-second clock once you crossed the restraining line.

What's been the proudest moment of your career?
Winning an ACC championship last season [North Carolina beat Virginia for the title, the Tar Heels' first ACC crown in 17 seasons]. I grew up around the ACC and I always wanted to win a championship.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?
Taylor Swift, any day of the week.

Its 2023 — Where are you and what are you doing?
Hopefully I'm living in Annapolis, Md., and doing something I love to do.

What's on your lacrosse bucket list?
Win a national championship.

What is your major?
I'm a double major in management and society, and communications. Management and society is a lot of sociology classes, a couple economics classics. It focuses on business management.

What's been your favorite class in college?
Yoga. We had to take a lifetime exercise course at North Carolina, so I took yoga.

How do you manage to balance your time?
I have to be organized and I have to stay focused. I focus only on football in the fall and lacrosse in the spring. I do them one at a time.

What are crossover skills between football and lacrosse?
Definitely hand-eye coordination. Catching a ball in a lacrosse stick makes catching a football a whole lot easier. That's the biggest crossover.

What college or pro football player would make a great lacrosse player?
Michael Vick would make a great midfielder.

Overtime (from Hamilton Nationals defenseman/Team USA hopeful Tucker Durkin)

Who is your biggest lacrosse inspiration?
Kyle Harrison. He's older than me, but we played in the same high school league, the MIAA. I played for St. Mary's (Annapolis). And I grew up watching Johns Hopkins lacrosse and he was one of the premier players on their team during that time.

Double Overtime (from Bridget Doyle, Pittsburgh, Pa.)

If you were stranded on an island, what book would you bring?
One of the Harry Potter books.
