NCAA Men's DI Composite: Greyhounds By a Nose

This week's race for the No. 1 spot in the NCAA men's DI composite rankings was a photo finish, which makes it entirely appropriate that the Loyola Greyhounds managed to snap the tape just ahead of Cornell.* Loyola was No. 1 in this week's rankings from the USILA, media and Eamon McAnaney, with Cornell headlining the Top 20 from Lacrosse Magazine and Quint Kessenich. LaxPower threw a monkey wrench into the whole thing with Maryland (last week's No. 1) remaining in the top spot in the computer rankings, with Loyola at No. 5 and Cornell No. 8.
Bolstered by that high computer rank, the Terrapins came in No. 3 this week, with Duke and North Carolina rounding out the Top 5.
Each week, we will publish an aggregate of the rankings from Lacrosse Magazine, ESPN broadcasters Eamon McAnaney and Quint Kessenich, the Warrior media poll, the USILA coaches poll and the LaxPower computer rankings. Click here for last week's composite ranks.

*The implication being that a Greyhound is a racing dog. I realize that most people under the age of 40 don't really hang out at dog tracks anymore. Besides, jokes are always better when you explain them, right?
