The Big Green completed its season with a 4-9 overall record, 1-5 in the Ivy League.
The Ivy League playoffs will commence next Friday, May 4, at the #1 seed, to be determined later this evening in a game between first place Princeton and second place Cornell.
Hurster, the reigning Ivy Player of the Week, registered a hat-trick for the sixth straight game to lead all scorers. Senior Parker Brown (San Francisco, CA) had a big day with two goals and an assist, while sophomore Stephen Chmil (Garden City, NY) also netted two goals for the Bears.
Brown dominated in the face-off x, winning 16 of 22 face-offs. Sophomore Pete Capone (Watertown, NY) turned in a yeoman's effort by capturing 15 of 21 face-offs. Bears' sophomore goalie Will Round (Mt. Lebanon, PA) came up with several big stops and finished with 12 saves.

While Brown never trailed in the game, it certainly wasn't easy, playing on the home Stevenson Field grass for the last time. Next year, a synthetic surface will replace the grass.
Sophomore defenseman Sam Ford (Reisterstown, MD) set the tone for the game when he won the opening face-off, picked up the ground ball, and meandered his way to the goal to give the Bears a 1-0 advantage.
After Dartmouth tied the game, 1-1, senior Parker Brown gave Brown the lead for good, followed by a Hurster goal, to give the Bears a 3-1 advantage.
Patrick Resch scored for the Big Green, but Parker Brown scored his second goal to give the Bears a 4-2 lead after one quarter.
Brown goals by Chmil and Hurster extended the Bears' lead to 6-2 with 13:06 left in the half. The Big Green scored three of the next four goals to trail, 7-5 with 3:35 remaining in the second quarter.
Hurster's goal with 2:29 left gave the Bears an 8-5 at intermission.
Chmil opened the second half with his second goal to lift the Bears to a 9-5 advantage. Dartmouth's Rotanz scored with 7:04 left in the third quarter, and Chris Costabile scored at the 9:39 mark of the fourth quarter to make the home faithful uneasy with the Big Green pulling to within 9-7.
Bears' senior Dan O'Brien took the air out of the Dartmouth comeback bid with an unassisted goal with 5:44 left in the game to give Brown a three-goal lead, 10-7. Big Green attackman Kip Doyle scored with 18 seconds remaining to account for the final score.
