Fairfield Lacrosse Inks 11 Players to NLIs

Third-year Fairfield University head men's lacrosse coach Andy
Copelan announced the signing of 11 student-athletes to National
Letters of Intent today.
Bryan Barry (Duxbury, Mass.), Brian Browne (Sandwich, Mass.), Maxwell Buchanan (Wyckoff, N.J.), Stephen Dodd (Old Greenwich, Conn.), Conor Fraylick (Pleasantville, N.Y.), Nick Guida (Chatham, N.J.), Thomas Lukacovic (Syosset, N.Y.), Colin McLinden (Madison, N.J.), Cameron Parker (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) Alessandro Randazzo (Moorestown, N.J.) and Tristan Sperry (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) join the Class of 2015 at Fairfield and will take the field for the 2012 season.
"We're pleased to officially welcome these eleven young men and their families to Fairfield University," said Copelan. "We're excited about the caliber of student - athlete that will be joining us and feel like we have some players at each position who have the potential to make an early impact."
Barry is a 5-foot-10, 180 pound midfielder that is a team captain at Duxbury High School this season and plays for the Black Jacks. He was named the Duxbury team MVP in 2010, was named an Under Armour All-America as well as being named a Patriot League All-Star. Barry was also named to the Patriot League All-Scholastic Team for both lacrosse and ice hockey.
Browne is a 5-foot-10, 180 pound midfielder that attends Deerfield Academy and plays for NESLL and LI Sting. He is a four-year varsity letter winner for Deerfield, helping the team to 46 wins and two league titles in that time. He also is a three-year NESLL U-19 Black player and participated at Jake Reed's rising senior Nike Blue Chip Camp.
Buchanan is a 6-foot-2, 210 pound defender that is a team captain at Don Bosco Prep. An Adidas All-America, he scooped up 89 ground balls last season, as well as adding three goals and an assist last season. Buchanan, who also plays for Gamerz, helped lead Don Bosco Prep to a 2009 National Title in football.
Dodd is a 6-foot, 180 pound midfielder who currently attends Greenwich High School where he has been the team's leading midfield scorer the last two seasons. He was the leading midfield scorer for the Connecticut Chargers, where he also led the midfield in scoring and attended Jake Reed's Nike Blue Chip Camp as a rising junior.
Fraylick is a 6-foot-1, 187 pound goalkeeper that attends Pleasantville High School and plays for the Top Gun Fighting Clams. He was twice named his squads defensive MVP and earned All-League honors each of the last two seasons. Fraylick also was named All-Section following the 2010 campaign.
Guida is a 5-foot-6, 160 pound attackman that is currently a senior at Chatham High School and plays for Leading Edge Elite. He is a two-time New Jersey Under Armour Team selection, as well as having been named Second Team All-State.
Lukacovic is a 6-foot, 175 pound defender at Chaminade High School and plays for the club team, For Love Of The Game. He is an All-CHSAA selection at Chaminade, where he was also the defensive units leading scorer.
McLinden is a 5-foot-9, 165 pound midfielder that attends Madison High School and plays for the Tri-State All-Stars. He is an Under Armour and Adidas All-America pick, as well as being named First-Team All-State as a junior.
Parker is a 6-foot-2, 200 pound attack that attends Bainbridge High School and plays for numerous club teams. He is a two-year team captain at Bainbridge and was named to Team Washington, which is comprised of the top 25 players in the state.
Randazzo is a 6-foot, 195 pound defender that attends Moorestown
High School and plays for Tri-State Lacrosse. He is a four-time
varsity letter winner in lacrosse and helped lead his squad to the
2008 New Jersey Group 2 State Championship.
Sperry is a 5-foot-11, 160 pound attackman that is currently attending Saratoga Springs High School and plays for the Albany Power as well. He was named his squads offensive MVP a season ago and has twice led the team in scoring. Sperry has been named a Top 205 All-Star, a Suburban Council All-Star and been selected to play at the Empire State Games.
The Fairfield men's lacrosse team will open its 201 season on the road at Lafayette College on February 19. The Stags home debut is Tuesday, March 1 versus Quinnipiac, the first of five consecutive home games. The squad's ECAC Lacrosse League opener comes on Friday, March 11 when Air Force visits the Fairfield campus.
