Fifth MAAC Award for UDM's Adams

from press release

EDISON, N.J.
– After his all-around performance in helping Detroit end Siena's 20-game MAAC winning streak, freshman Shayne Adams (St. Catharines, ON/Denis Morris) was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's lacrosse Rookie of the Week, announced the league on Monday.

It is the fourth time this season that Adams has earned the Rookie of the Week honor and the fifth weekly award he has picked up on the year garnering the conference's Offensive Player of the week in early March.

Adams tallied two goals and picked up a career-high eight ground balls in the 13-11 victory against the Saints, which also ended their six-game winning streak and their 13-game home winning streak, the second longest in the country.

The first-year player leads all Division I freshmen with 27 goals on the year, a number that is currently third in the nation. He is also 13th with 2.45 goals per game.
