from press release

GENEVA, N.Y.
- One week after earning the ECAC Rookie of the Week Award, Hobart College first-year attackman Alex Love (Salisbury School/Geneva, N.Y.) was named the conference's Offensive Player of the Week. He led the Statesmen to a pair of victories last week with a team-high seven points.

On Tuesday night, Love notched career-highs with four goals, five points, and three ground balls in a 10-8 victory over Canisius. On Saturday, he scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner with three minutes remaining, to propel Hobart to an 8-7 victory over Fairfield in its ECAC opener.

Love is second on the team with 10 goals and 13 points. He's tied for 15th in the league overall and 3rd among first-years in goals per game (1.25) and tied for 18th in points per game (1.63).

Winners of three straight, the Statesmen (4-4, 1-0) will close out a five-game homestand on Saturday, April 2, when 12th-ranked Denver (6-2, 2-0) visits Boswell Field. The opening faceoff is scheduled for noon.

WEOS-FM (89.7/90.3) will broadcast the game live. Fans can also follow the action online with All-Access Video and Live Stats.
