Hopkins Transfer Lands at Syracuse

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Attackman Tom Palasek
(Rocky Point, N.Y.) has joined the Syracuse men's lacrosse team,
Orange head coach John Desko announced Thursday. Palasek, a junior,
transferred to Syracuse from Johns Hopkins and has two years of
eligibility remaining.
Palasek played in 14 games with five starts for Hopkins last
season. He tallied 20 points (13g, 7a) on the year, including a
career-best three points (2g, 1a) in a 10-7 loss to the Orange at
Homewood Field. For his career, Palasek recorded 25 points,
including 14 goals, in 28 games with the Blue Jays.
A 2008 Under Armour and U.S. Lacrosse All-American at Rocky Point
High School on Long Island, Palasek is the school's all-time leader
in points and assists. He scored 50 goals and passed out 92 assists
as a senior to lead Rocky Point to the 2008 New York State Class B
Championship.
Palasek will make his SU debut next week. The Orange begins
preparations for the 2011 campaign on Thursday, Jan. 13 with its
first practice.
