from press release
HAMILTON, N.Y. – Senior Ian Murphy
(Constantia, N.Y.) recorded a season-high five points as Colgate
downed Lehigh 12-4 in men’s lacrosse action, Saturday night
at Andy Kerr Stadium.
Murphy scored three goals and added two assists to lead the Raiders
while freshman Peter Baum (Portland, Ore.) recorded his fifth hat
trick of the season. Juniors Ben McCabe (Brunswick, Maine) and
Andrew Mould (Wyomissing, Pa.) each scored twice.
Sophomore John Donnally (Madison, N.J.) scored just 15 seconds into
the game, after junior Jim Carroll (Nesconset, N.Y.) won the
opening face-off. Carroll won 12 of 19 face-offs to lead the
Raiders, who went 13-7 for the game. Baum would score his first of
the game two-minutes later to put Colgate up 2-0. Lehigh would
respond with a man-up goal at the 5:53 mark to make it 2-1, but
Murphy would fire back 46 seconds later with his first goal of the

with a pair of goals to tie the score 3-3.
Murphy scored the only goal of the second period to give Colgate a

five-straight goals including a man-down goal from senior Michael
Crown (Winnetka, Ill.).

stops in the win for Colgate, while Connor Murphy saved 13 for
