51 seconds into the final quarter, Lehrer posted his fourth goal of the year on a feed from Bryant Schmidt (Great Mills, Md./St. Mary's Ryken). Lehrer, who entered the game tied for third in the nation with 4.00 goals per game, now has a team-high 17 goals on the year.

Canisius stopped the Mount's scoring streak on a goal by Adam Jones, but the Mount then rattled off three unanswered scores for a commanding 11-4 lead. Lehrer's fifth goal of the year started the run while defender Russell Moncure (Alexandria, Va./T.C. Williams) added his first career goal for the Mountaineers. Mark Stapor (Herndon, Va./Bishop O'Connell) notched his first goal of the season to close the run for the Mount.
