Corp, Colgate Trump Binghamton in Fourth Quarter

HAMILTON, N.Y.-- Senior attack Brandon Corp scored a game-high
four goals and fellow senior attack Kevin Colleluori added three
goals and two assists, leading No. 15 Colgate (8-3) to an 11-9 win
over Binghamton (1-9) in a non-conference men's lacrosse game on
Tuesday evening at at Andy Kerr Stadium. The loss is the fifth
straight setback for the Bearcats, four of which have come against
nationally-ranked opponents.
Binghamton led through much of the first three quarters but the
score was even at 6-6 entering the final 15 minutes of regulation.
Senior attack Jake Boyce put the
Bearcats up 7-6 at the 14:26 mark but Corp, who leads the nation
with 4.60 points per game, deadlocked the game with 13:17 left.
Exactly one minute after Corp's goal, junior
attack Steve Carlson reclaimed the lead
for Binghamton. At the 11:18 mark, however, Corp struck again and
tied the game at 8-8.
From there, the Red Raiders scored three unanswered goals over the
next 10 minutes. Colleluori scored the final two goals during that
span.
The Red Raiders outshot Binghamton 31-28 and won 12 of the 23
faceoffs. Each team had 21 ground balls.
Senior attackers Jonny
Baron and Chris
Mulheron each scored twice for Binghamton. Senior
midfielder Kevin Joy finished with a
goal and two assists while junior attack Andy
Cook added a goal and an assist.
Senior goalie Larry Kline made 11 saves,
marking the fifth straight game he has reached double figures in
stops.
