ties until UMBC's decisive run. After Colgate sophomore midfielder
Rob Bosco tied the game at eight-all at the 13:06 mark of the final
quarter, Poillon scored his lone goal of the day, face dodging his

Sophomore midfielder Jamie Kimbles (Centreville, Md.) gave UMBC its
first two-goal lead of the day, converting a behind-the-net feed
from freshman midfielder Rob Grimm (Black River, N.Y.) with 8:12
remaining. , Wimer keyed the next two UMBC scores, which occurred
in a span of 12 seconds. He fed Jones for easy score in front of
Harrington at the 4:30 mark, then came up with a contested ground
ball on the ensuing face-off. With Harrington out of the net, Wimer
buried a 45-yard shot to put the hosts ahead, 12-8 with 4:18 to
play.
Wimer now has 10 goals and four assists in UMBC's 3-0 start. The
Retrievers outshot the Raiders, 39-37, and UMBC senior goalkeeper
Jeremy Blevins (Cockeysville, Md.) made 13 saves. Harrington was
credited with 10 saves for the visitors.
