is a new program record. He also dished out one helper for seven
points.
Last week’s CAA player of the week Corbyn Tao-Brambleby
(Coquitlam, B.C. / Western Reserve Academy) captured his second
consecutive hat-trick and sophomore Taylor Caparosa (Annapolis, Md.

Colonials, going 18-for-26.
For the Knights, junior Jarrett Davis led the team with a quartet
of goals. Junior Sean Doyle added three goals and Ray Finnegan

Lee got the ball rolling for the Colonials wining the opening
face-off and then taking the ball straight to the net to score 10
seconds into action. Two minutes later Smith put the
Colonials’ second score on the board to give them the two
goal edge. With 9:02 left on the clock Doyle closed in the Colonial
lead with a goal, but Robert Morris answered back with three goals
within a three minute span to improve its lead to 5-1.
With 3:19 left in the first quarter Doyle scored his second goal of
the game, but the Colonials got the final mark in the first quarter
when Moore got the ball passed Knight goalie David Haas to finalize
the first quarter with a 6-2 score.
Bellarmine opened up the second quarter with two straight goals in
the first five minutes of action and added three more goals to
their collection before the end of the half. Robert Morris found
the net three times, which gave the Colonials a 9-6 advantage going
into the second half.
Once again, the Knights started off the scoring in the third
quarter with two back-to-back goals on the extra-man advantage,
which closed the gap on RMU’s lead, 9-8. However, Robert
Morris responded with 3:52 left in the third quarter when Caparosa
got the ball past Bellarmine’s new goalie Scott Bowles, which
started a string of three goals in the final four minutes of
action.
In the fourth quarter, the Colonials put on a clinic scoring eight
goals, with four coming in the final four minutes of action.
Johnson scored his first goal of the game just 10 seconds in on an
up-man advantage, which was followed by Kerch’s fifth goal of
the game and Tao-Brambleby’s second of the contest.
Bellarmine managed to get past the Colonial defense a couple times,
but RMU solidified the win adding five more goals before the end of
the game. Senior Aaron Bottazzo (Rochester, N.Y. / Irondequoit)
scored his lone goal of the game with 11 seconds left on the clock
to finalize the score 20-11.

saves in the win, while Bellarmine’s goalies Hass and Bowles
combined for just eight saves. Robert Morris capitalized on
four-of-six extra-man opportunities, while Bellarmine was
