DIY Network's 'Man Caves' Remodels Rabil's Basement
The DIY Network television show "Man Caves" will feature Major League Lacrosse star and Team USA veteran Paul Rabil in a future episode, after contractors involved with the show remodeled the basement of Rabil's downtown Baltimore home this week.
Former Baltimore Ravens defensive lineman and current NFL on FOX sideline reporter Tony Siragusa hosts the show with Jason Cameron, a home improvement contractor.
Rabil is a big fan of the show, and considers himself a do-it-yourselfer. In the July issue of Lacrosse Magazine, Rabil told LM editor Matt DaSilva, perhaps foreshadowing the "Man Caves" visit, "I'm a new homeowner, so I've really gotten into home decorations and remodeling. All of a sudden I care about that stuff. I started watching more HGTV and DIY TV. I'm teaching myself to be handy. It's a frustrating process."
Hence, he wasn't afraid to try his hand when the show visited:
The air date for the show featuring Rabil's dream cave is to be announced, but when it does, chalk it up as another mainstream moment for Rabil and the sport, just this year. In September, Rabil hired world-recognized talent agency, Octagon, to represent him and was featured in an ESPN "SportsCenter" commercial.
Sneak peek: Rabil, Siragusa and Cameron visited Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium with lacrosse sticks as part of the show's taping.
