Wills Not Selected in MLL Supplemental Draft

Team USA goalkeeper and USC Women's lacrosse assistant Devon Wills was not selected in today's Major League Lacrosse supplemental draft. The 2006 Dartmouth grad was the first female to be included in the draft pool in the outdoor professional league's history. She is still eligible to be added to a team's roster as a member of the active player pool leading up to the 2014 season.

News of Wills being in the selection pool - from which teams augmented their 23-player protected rosters (announced in November) prior to January's collegiate player draft - came out on Monday afternoon.

Midfielder Bill McGlone was selected No. 1 overall by the Ohio Machine in the draft, with Cameron Holding (Chesapeake), Jack Rice (Boston), Brendan Buckley (New York), Billy Eisenreich (Florida), Ken Clausen (Denver), Jake Smith (Charlotte) and Brett Garber (Florida) rounding out the opening round.
