Confirmed: Big Ten Network Will Televise Women's Final Four

It's official -- you can watch the women's 2011 championship weekend on TV, namely on the Big Ten Network. As previously reported, the Northwestern-UNC will air on a slight tape delay on Friday night, both semifinals will be on tape delay on Saturday morning, and the championship will be live. (Well, the title game might be "joined in progress" if the Big Ten Baseball Tournament runs long.) Here are the details, from NU's press release:

"The Wildcats and Tar Heels square off at 6:30 p.m. CT Friday in Stony Brook, N.Y., site of this year's championship weekend. The game is scheduled to air at 9:30 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network, following the conclusion of live coverage of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament.

The other semifinal, a matchup between Maryland and Duke, will air Friday after the Northwestern game. Both semifinal games will also re-air on Saturday morning, with the Maryland-Duke game beginning at 7 a.m. CT and Northwestern-North Carolina following at 9 a.m. CT.

Action culminates on Sunday with the national championship game, which is scheduled to air live at 3 p.m. CT, once again following live telecasts of the Big Ten Baseball Tournament. If baseball coverage runs long, the Big Ten Network will join the lacrosse championship in progress and re-air the game in its entirety Sunday night."

Here's a Big Ten Network Gamefinder to help you figure out what channel you need to view the BTN in your area. All this weekends cames are available via live webcast at NCAA.com as well.
